QR Menu System — A Digital QR Code Menu for Your Restaurant

With the robotPOS QR menu the guest views the menu, orders and pays from their own phone at the table. Natively integrated with POS and order tickets, multilingual, updated instantly.

Short answer: the robotPOS QR menu system

The robotPOS QR menu system is a digital solution used in place of a printed menu in restaurants and cafés: the guest scans the QR code on the table with their own phone to view the menu and place an order. It is natively integrated with the POS and order-ticket system.

  • The guest scans the QR code on the table with their phone; the menu opens in the browser, with no app download required.
  • The order lands on the check and the kitchen display instantly; the waiter sees it the moment it happens.
  • Price and product changes reach every menu within seconds from the management panel.
  • One menu in Turkish, English, Arabic, Russian and more — ideal for tourist guests.
  • Runs in view-only mode or full self-order mode; you choose according to your business model.
  • More than 4,000 businesses such as Kahve Dünyası, Tavuk Dünyası and Köfteci Ramiz run on robotPOS infrastructure.

What Is a QR Menu System?

A QR menu is the name given to the digital menu that opens in the browser when a guest scans, with their phone camera, the QR code placed on the tables of a restaurant, café, hotel restaurant or mall food court. In the industry it is also called a QR code menu, a contactless menu or simply a QR menu.

It solves the three fundamental problems of a printed menu: printing cost, the inability to update instantly and the difficulty of multilingual support. It also lets the guest complete the ordering and payment steps from their phone.

The robotPOS QR menu is natively integrated with the POS system; an order placed via QR lands automatically on the order ticket and the kitchen display. This is the most important difference between it and a simple "digital menu viewer".

How Is a QR Menu Created? — Live in 4 Steps

The practical answer to "how do I make a QR menu" has four steps: menu import, design, testing and go-live. The robotPOS team manages the process end to end; typical setup takes 2–3 business days.

  1. 01

    Needs assessment

A robotPOS specialist maps out your branch count, menu and goals. It becomes clear whether you need menu viewing only or full self-order.

  2. 02

    Menu digitisation

Your current menu is transferred into robotPOS. Product photos are shot or optimised, and categories and language options are configured.

  3. 03

    Testing and customisation

A dedicated QR code is generated for every table. Colours, logo and theme are matched to your restaurant's brand, and the end-to-end flow is verified with test orders.

  4. 04

    Go-live and training

QR codes are placed on the tables, staff receive a short training session and the system goes live. The robotPOS support team follows the first week closely.

Frequently Asked Questions About QR Menus

The most common questions from our customers and prospective users, with clear answers.

What is a QR menu system?

A QR menu system is a digital solution that replaces the printed menu in restaurants and cafés: a QR code placed on the table lets guests view the menu and order from their own phone. The robotPOS QR menu is integrated with the POS system, so the order lands on the kitchen display and the check the moment it is placed.

Does the guest have to download an app to use the QR menu?

No. The robotPOS QR menu is fully web based. The guest scans the QR code on the table with the phone camera and the menu opens straight in the browser. No app download or account is required.

Is an internet connection required to use the QR menu?

Yes, the guest needs mobile data or your restaurant's Wi-Fi. Many robotPOS customers round out the experience by offering guest Wi-Fi alongside the QR menu.

Is there multilingual QR menu support?

Yes. The robotPOS QR menu supports Turkish, English, Arabic, Russian, German and many more languages. Restaurants in tourist areas can present a single menu in several languages, and a price update is reflected automatically in all of them.

Can a QR menu be integrated with my existing POS system?

The robotPOS QR menu is natively integrated with the robotPOS POS system; the order goes straight to the check and the kitchen display. If you use another POS system, our specialists review your current setup and propose a suitable integration plan.

How is an order from the QR menu passed to the kitchen?

The moment the guest confirms the order on the QR menu it reaches robotPOS and is routed automatically to the relevant kitchen display (KDS) or bar printer. The waiter sees the check for that table and can take additional orders.

With a QR menu, does the guest only browse the menu or can they also order?

That is up to your business. The robotPOS QR menu runs in two modes: (1) menu viewing only — the guest browses the menu and orders verbally from the waiter; (2) self-order — the guest orders and pays from their own phone at the table. Both modes are supported on the same infrastructure.

Is the QR menu free, and how much does it cost?

robotPOS QR menu pricing depends on the number of branches, the number of tables and the modules you want (self-order, online payment, multiple languages, loyalty integration). You can request a transparent quote from our pricing page or through the demo form.

How quickly can I update the prices and products on the menu?

Instantly. Any change you make to a product, price, category or description in the robotPOS management panel appears on all your QR menus within seconds. No going back to printed menus, no printing cost, no waiting.

Which types of business is a QR menu suitable for?

It suits restaurants, cafés, bars, hotel restaurants, mall food courts, fast food chains, patisseries and bakeries. The robotPOS QR menu is used both in single-site businesses and in chains with 200+ branches (such as Tavuk Dünyası, Kahve Dünyası and Köfteci Ramiz).

KD

Kahve Dünyası

"The story of the Köfteci Ramiz brand is the story of two orphaned brothers who migrated from Macedonia to Türkiye at the start of the 19th century. Having lost their mother in infancy and with their father taken prisoner in the Battle of Çanakkale, the brothers settled in Akhisar, a district of the Aegean. There they served grilled meatballs in the style they had learned in Macedonia, alongside a special flatbread made from fresh-yeast dough. They opened their first shop in 1928 in Akhisar — a tiny place with four tables. After Ramiz Usta passed away in 1970, his four sons continued to keep their father's name alive. In 2000 they opened their second branch, again in Akhisar, on the İzmir–İstanbul highway. That second branch became a springboard, and in 2006 the first İstanbul branch opened in Levent Çarşı. The Köfteci Ramiz brand continues to grow, today with 150 branches in 31 provinces."
