How Does It Work?
4 steps to detecting anomalies from your POS data
Baseline Learning
From the historical data of each branch, the normal behavior profile is generated. Metrics such as cancellation rate, sales average, cash percentage are learned.
Z-Score Detection
Real-time data is compared with baseline. Values that show significant deviation from the standard deviation are marked as anomalies.
air AI Description
The detected anomaly is analyzed by air AI and a Turkish explanation is produced for the administrator to understand.
Mobile Notification
Explanations and suggestions are instantly forwarded to the relevant branch manager via the mobile application. The incident is recorded.

Cancel Spike
A sudden increase in the cancellation rate is detected. It could indicate possible theft, manipulation or lack of training.
Sales Drop
Sudden decreases are detected according to the expected sales volume. It could be an operational problem, a lack of personnel or a technical fault signal.
Cash Anomaly
Unusual changes in the cash payment rate are detected. The risk of fraud signal or case deficit is assessed.
Extreme Discount
A significant increase in discount rates compared to normal is detected. Indicates loss of control or unauthorized application of discounts.

The average cancellation rate of the Kadıköy branch for the last 30 days was calculated as 0.5%.
Cancellation rate: 2.2% (z-score: 3.4)
At noon today, the cancellation rate skyrocketed to 2.2%. Z-score 3.4 — this is 3.4 standard deviations away from normal.

Frequently asked questions
AiR intelligence creates a ‘normal’ profile (baseline) from each branch’s historical data. It then compares real-time data against this profile using the z-score statistical method. Not a fixed threshold, but a deviation from the specific normal of each branch is detected.
Cancellation spike (possible theft/manipulation), sudden sales drop (operational problem), cash rate anomaly (fraud signal), excessive discount (loss of control) and unexpected payment method changes are detected.
When an anomaly is detected, a Turkish explanation is produced by air AI and an instant notification is sent to the branch manager via the mobile application. The event is saved to the ai_events table and the system continues learning with feedback loop.
The Z-score based statistical method generates far fewer false alarms than simple threshold control. Since each branch's own standard deviation is calculated, the shopping mall branch and the street branch are evaluated with different criteria.
No additional installation required. robotPOS Data is automatically pulled and analyzed from your POS system. After a minimum of 2 weeks of data accumulation, baseline is created and anomaly detection becomes active.
